For those who love movement and action, the weather here allows for a wide range of sports, almost all year round. Thanks to the warm clear waters, the sea floor here invites one to practice diving or fishing. On the surface, a dazzling sun encourages you to challenge the wind on a windsurf board, sailing, water skiing, on water bike or simply enjoying a relaxing jaunt in a paddle boat, boats and catamarans. Beach volley, golf, tennis, squash, indoor sports, football, basketball, bike rides, trekking etc… all these and many more are possible on the Costa Tropical.

One hundred and three kilometres of coast offer numerous beaches to cover all tastes. Wide expanses with small coves; some are lively and bustling, others wild and laid back. Even naturists have a place to relax and bathe in the warm waters of the Mediterranean.
Pleasant strolls among magnificent parks, plains or gardens where flowers and leafy plants and trees which delight the senses, all help us to find that much desired relaxation. Equally, the exceptional natural environment and the small village far from the crowds also offer the chance to go on pleasant excursions or enjoy nature, climbing, trekking or on horseback rides.

For those of you that enjoy walking in the natural environment, the Alpujarras are a short distance away. Further along the coast, towards Almeria, many of the Spaghetti westerns were films. There is now a Mini Hollywood which has its own cowboy village. Also towards Almeria is the town of Guadix, famous for its cave houses, which for a small donation, the residents are very happy to show you around.
If what you really want is fun, the young ones will enjoy the three aqua parks close by, one in Almunecar, one in Roquetas de Mar, and the other in Granada, or on the fun trains which ride around the beaches, streets and squares. Also make sure to enjoy the many fiestas in every village, town and city.
